From the outside, it looks like
an ordinary ball, but when you look
inside, it feels like looking at
an orange filled with grains.
Sinae Bac
The Foundation
Sinae grew up in an environment where she could easily come into contact with musical instruments but didn't receive formal education for a long time. When she was young, she played the violin at home, but she wasn't very interested in it. When she was 10 years old in primary school, she received a classical piano lesson from university student near her house, for about a month during summer vacation. After becoming an adult, she went to Europe to study jazz piano at a music university, and after enrolling, she finally receiving a formal education.
However, she did not continue her major and changed her major to study arts management, and her piano studies did not last long.
Although she only had a short period of formal education, the piano is her foundation and the most fundamental tool for pursuing music and art.
There were regrets about not being able to learn earnestly for a long time and concerns about the gap with those who have been consistent, but she created music in her own style.
She uses a touch close to jazz, but within it, she uses harmony that is very restrained and refined, close to classical, and sometimes mixes two or three modes to create music.
This simplification is her favourite method, and sometimes she maximizes the pleasure of listening with changes in texture.
Many of her songs cannot be defined by a specific genre, as they contain her habit of wanting to break genres.
However, sometimes she plays piano pieces that are like the simplest children's songs.
Because the most beautiful sound is the most fundamental and pure sound.
